This is my DECONGESTANT CHEST RUB recipe that will also help to clear your head when you are suffering a cold.

This is a wonderful balm for applying on your chest, neck and back if you are starting to get a cold and want to clear your airways. It is stimulating, awakening and could help with headaches too. All three essential oils boost our immune system and fight off infections. They are strong antiseptics and Lemongrass is one for the strongest prophylactic agents which helps to stimulant the body’s natural defense mechanisms. Together Peppermint and Lemongrass will restore focus and clarity stimulate and revive the mind, alleviate nauseous symptoms including stuffy heads and headaches, clear the breathing pathways and work to remove excess mucous.

    DECONGESTANT CHEST RUB
    Ingredients
    10g beeswax
90 g vegetable oil of your choice . I love Extra virgin olive oil myself but you can use sweet almond oil, sunflower oil or coconut oil (liquid)
    25 drops Peppermint essential oil
    15 drops Lemongrass essential oil
    20 drops Lavender essential oil
    How to make the balm

Melt beeswax and the vegetable oil in a bain marie. When completely melted and transparent with NO lumps stir it up and take out from the heat. Add the essential oils, stir it up again with a clean spoon and pour the mixture in a 100 ml glass jar. Label with date. This product will last up to a year .
Hope it helps you to go easier through the winter
.This blend is made using 60 drops of essential oil in 100ml/g of carrier oil  which is a 3% blend. 2% blend is the recommended dilution for general use. 3% is used for local area application where you are treating a certain condition-such as stiff and and aching legs, feet, hands and joints. 3% is NOT recommended if you have sensitive skin, during pregnancy, are taking prescribed medication or suffer from allergies. Not suitable for young children.  If in doubt, please seek professional advice.
