NOTES ABOUT METHOD

  • You will not see tablespoons, ml, cups in my recipes.
  • You will see the quantities are in grams. Yes you can weigh liquids in a kitchen scale, this is actually the professional way of making a batch . I haven’t used percentages only grams to make it easier for you. Divided in 2 if you want to make less quantity of the product
  • All these mists are aqueous products (water based) that contain food ingredients hence it is a  food party for microorganisms to thrive. This is the reason why they must be stored in the fridge . • If you can not find some of the ingredients below , ask me in the comments box at the bottom of this post and I will suggest substitutes ingredients.
  • No. You can’t add essential oils to these mists without using a solubilizer . This is a huge error found all over internet. Remember water and oil don’t mix and even when shaking the product .

💡 Tips for All Mists:

  • Always patch test before full-face use.
  • Use distilled water or hydrosols to prevent contamination.
  • Store in a clean, dark glass spray bottle.
  • If not using preservatives, store in the fridge and use within 1–2 weeks.
  • For longer shelf life, consider adding a natural chelating agent and natural broad-spectrum preservative system. Remember to choose a water soluble preservative, adjust pH accordingly and make sure all the ingredients in the formula are compatible and soluble.
  • You can convert these mists into moisturizing gel serums instead of using heavy creams in summer season. For this you would need to add thickeners. Which one and how?
